The school Z Club is busy at the moment – on Wednesday new members were inducted into the club and next Tuesday they are organising a Pink Ribbon breakfast to raise funds for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. Tickets to the breakfast have already been sold but if you’d like to make a donation you can do so online at www.pinkribbonbreakfast.co.nz/page/sthildaszclub.
The girls looked great today dressed in pink for ‘Pink Shirt Mufti Day’. This was to raise money for and awareness of the Pink Shirt Anti Bullying campaign.
Year 7 and 8 students will be going to Camp Columba next Tuesday. We are hoping the snow clears in time for this!
Year 11&12 – We have had our first information evening for the 2016 Vietnam Trip. Thanks to those who have already indicated interest in the 2016 Vietnam Trip. If anyone was thinking of this but was unable to attend the information evening please feel free to contact me at email@example.com.
If you are going to join the trip for 2016 could you please get back to me by Thursday 28th May with the student’s name, year group and names of any other family members planning to travel with the group.
In order to secure airline seats (especially on the domestic flights) and land arrangements we will require a non refundable $400 deposit by Tuesday 2ndJune.
The Cross Country Team participated in the Caversham Kings Relays on Tuesday. St Hilda’s had four senior and four junior teams competing and all the girls ran extremely well.
The Junior Girls 1 team of Kate Higham, Georgia Mitchell, Suzie White and Cecilia Crooks finished first overall, and first Junior Team. The Senior Girls Team 1 of Anna Power, Erin O’Brien, Olivia Gold and Anna Lindsay were placed second, and the Senior 2 team of Zoe Richards, Meg Timu, Lili Sabonadiere and Beth Fitchett were placed third.
Kate Higham was 1st equal fastest time and Georgia Mitchell was 3rd equal fastest time in the Junior Race and Anna Lindsay was fastest time in the Senior Race.
The next event is the Otago/Southland Cross Country at Milton next Wednesday.
If there are any families who would be interested in billeting a student from Woodford House on Friday 19 June until Sunday 21 June could you please email firstname.lastname@example.org. The Woodford students are traveling down to compete at the New Zealand Secondary Schools’ Cross Country, which is being held at Gladfield Golf Course on Saturday 20 June.
