A selection of Hip Hop and Aerobic performances from Wednesday’s assembly

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Thank you to all parents who attended the John Parsons ‘Cyber Safety’ Workshop on Monday evening.  We hope that you found this informative and useful.

On Wednesday in Assembly we acknowledged girls who received the Cultural Excellence Award.  The full list of all Cultural recipients is now published on the ‘Award Ceremonies’ page.

The Mana Pounamu Young Achiever Awards are being held this evening.  This year’s recipients are Emma Alcock and Irie Simpson.

Today we farewell Trish Conrad.  We are sad to see her go and wish her all the best for her future.  Trish would like to thank all the students, parents and staff for all their kind words and gifts over the last week.  She has loved her time at St Hilda’s and has many, many wonderful memories.

Information was sent out this week regarding St Hilda’s Day.  This will be held at 10.00am on Sunday 1 November at St Paul’s Cathedral.  Students must be in formal uniform and be at the Cathedral by 9.40am for roll call.  We ask that students bring a $2 coin for the offering.  Any absences for the day must be emailed with a reason to Geraldine Corkery, care of admin@shcs.school.nz.

We ask for the return of all trophies and cups in order to start preparing for this year’s prize giving.  These can be left at the main office.

Guidance Tips

External examinations are looming and anxiety will be heightened. To help in  taking care of your daughters ensure they are well rested, have a comfortable space to  study and eat healthy and regular meals. Help her to create a structured and balanced study plan which includes time for relaxation, fresh air and exercise. Most importantly, keep communication lines open.
