Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Year 10 students returned this afternoon after a fun filled week at Camp Tautuku. Thank you to staff and parent helpers who were involved for making this a great trip for the girls.
Mrs Maw and Mrs Smith also took a group of junior students to Warrington for a two day writing retreat. This is a great chance for girls to explore ideas and language and, as you can see in the photo above, the sun did come out for a bit!
Year 7, 8 and 9 form classes have been involved in a football/basketball mash up tournament played at lunchtimes. It is great to see the girls getting involved and having fun.
We say goodbye to Larah Morrison and Tessa Burns who have spent the week with us after travelling from Woodford House. The girls have enjoyed having Larah and Tessa at school this week and I am sure Millie Davenport and Lily Hornal have enjoyed their time at Woodford.
The International Farewell will be held tomorrow at school. This is a chance for homestay families to come together with their students to share memories and say farewell before they start travelling home.
Mrs Barron and Mrs Gaye Cowie, Chair of the Board of Proprietors, will be attending the Auckland Old Girls’ Christmas function on Sunday night.
The Carol Service will be held at 5.00pm on Sunday 29 November in the Chapel and will be followed by cake. We will also draw the Christmas Raffle at the service.
We are looking for donations of gourmet hamper items like chutneys, sauces, pickles, chocolates, soaps, bathroom luxuries, Christmas treats etc. These can be left at the student office. Proceeds of this raffle will be used to support Anglican Family Care.
The Passion Project Expo will be held at 5.00pm on Tuesday December 1 in the Chapel and Library. This is a great opportunity for parents to see what the girls have been working on.
The canteen will be open next week on Thursday and Friday. We have decided to go to two days in response to the demand from girls.
Congratulations to Georgia Copeman who competed in the Primary Schools’ Tennis Championships last Friday. Georgia played very strongly and has been selected for the Otago U12 team. Georgia will now compete over the weekend in the Junior Tournament.
