Weekly News – Term 4 | Week 8

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

A successful Passion Project Expo was held on Tuesday night.  Thank you to all parents who attended.  The girls have chosen to showcase some wonderful passions, including baking, photography, various sports, sewing and travel.

Yesterday’s Junior Service Day went very well.  The girls were enthusiastic and helpful and feedback has been positive.

After considerable feedback from staff and parents at the Sports Forum meetings, the Sports Council have decided to create a Head of Sport position which is currently being advertised and will commence in the new year.  The role will involve sports administration as well as building community relationships and we will be looking at the work load of all Sports Department staff.

Prize Giving will be held at the More FM Arena at the Edgar Centre on Thursday 10 December at 5.00pm. We ask that families arrive by 4.45pm where ushers will show you to your seat once inside. If your daughter is unable to attend prize giving, please email Karen Mowat at admin@shcs.school.nz by Tuesday 8 December.

Good luck to students involved in National Athletics, the Condor Sevens, 1st XI Cricket and the Year 11 Rail Trail trip.

Best wishes also to the World Challenge group who are departing for India on Monday.
