Dear Parents and Caregivers,
On Sunday over 30 students departed for Summer Quad, hosted by Craighead Diocesan School in Timaru. St Hilda’s placed first in Touch and Swimming, second in Debating, third in Volleyball and fourth in Tennis, placing us second overall – a great result against tough opposition.
Good luck to students involved in the Canterbury Secondary Schools’ Rowing Regatta this weekend.
Year 12 and 13 PE students depart on Monday for their trip to Abel Tasman and Murchison. This trip is always a highlight of the year for the girls involved. Wishing students and staff a safe and enjoyable time away.

The week started with a few less girls in the hostel as they departed for Summer Quad. We welcomed back our Year 9 students who had been on camp and mostly had been home for the weekend. It was a fun way to start the week with our tribe dress up and games night, although we did miss our Quad girls.
The Year 13 Tribe leaders devised an organised an evening with flair and fun. They created a few kahoot games and we played fun outdoor games – including passing the water bomb balloon, and a marshmallow game which Zina was the champion of! The girls have been enjoying the warmer weather and the use of the Tolcarne pool – Meg Hurring has been our resident life guard.
This weekend the girls are looking forward to our trip to the inaugural ‘Night Noodle Market’ in Dunedin – we have over 60 girls going along with four Tolcarne staff.
