The fabulous Sings Hilda, Regional Winners of The Big Sing 2015, are off to Wellington to compete at the Nationals in August.
As a fundraiser we will be staging a variety concert featuring dance, drama, singing and more. There will be raffles available on the night. Tickets will be available in Term 3.

If you could contribute any raffle items (such as vouchers, small gifts or even a small cash donation to purchase an item) then please also leave these in the student office, with relevant details including your name, written on an accompanying envelope. Any item would be greatly appreciated – the more the better!

The St Hilda’s PFA is the organisation that runs our school fairs, among many other fundraising events and projects, including a cookbook (copies of which are still available for purchase on request!)
The committee meets one evening a month, predominantly to consider requests for funding support for extra school resources or activities not covered by Government funding, or requests for PFA committee volunteers to help out at school events.
In recent times, the PFA has helped fund items such as new outdoor furniture at Tolcarne’s flats, library resources, sewing machines, electronic equipment, as well as seminars such as the Sophie Elliott Loves me Not campaign. A new St Hilda’s-branded tent to provide extra cover at rowing and other sports events has just recently arrived.
Via an application process, the committee also helps to support the travel costs of girls and teams representing the school with its sports and cultural fund.
For those parents currently on the PFA, the committee has provided opportunities to meet other parents and caregivers, and also to hear regularly from our staff and school Principal. Tasks are not onerous; just to provide support when and how you can. And those involved usually very much enjoy the comradery. The need for parents and friends to help is ever present, and we would love to see some new faces come along and be part of our PFA.
Our AGM is on Tuesday 16 June at 7pm in the school library. We encourage any parent at the school to come and be involved where they feel they can. We are seeking a treasurer, so if you are keen to contribute to the PFA in any shape or form, we would love to see you!
