Wellington House getting the crowd ready for the House Chant
Wellington House getting the crowd warmed up for the House Chant

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

I am writing this having just arrived back from a fun filled swimming sports at Moana Pool. There were some great races and results, as well as a lot of laughter during the informal events.  Year 10 students also gave very entertaining performances in the house chant competition.  Full results will be published next week.

The PFA Quiz Night was a great success.  Thank you to all parents for taking part and donating items for raffles.

The Year 9 and 10 Dance went well last night and Year 11 students are currently busy decorating Whitby Hall for tonight’s Mid Winter Dance.  Year 7 and 8 students will have their dance on Tuesday 4 August from 7.00pm – 9.00pm.

Farewell to Sharon White, who has operated our canteen for the last few years.  Sharon treated the girls to a BBQ lunch today on their return from swimming sports, which they were very happy about!

We are in the process of appointing a new operator for the canteen.  To cover the transition period we are investigating an alternative system for supplying lunches, however this will not be available next week.
Students will need to come to school prepared with morning tea and lunch as permission will not be given to go off site to get this.

Good luck to students involved in the Diploma in French Language examinations which are taking place at school tomorrow and good luck to all students involved in Winter Quad, which starts on Sunday.

Tickets are on sale for the fundraising Gala Night for Sings Hilda.  Click on the image below for more details.
