The Junior Choir performing at The Big Sing

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

The Junior Choir, Madrigal and Sings Hilda all performed at The Big Sing Regional Competition on Wednesday. All three choirs performed well and should be congratulated on their efforts.  Sings Hilda received a commended award and the Madrigal received a highly commended award as well as placing first in Category 2.  We now await the results to see who will attend The Big Sing National Finale later in the year.

Congratulations to all the girls who performed in the Chamber Music competitions last weekend. A lot of hard work went into these performances.

Last Friday night’s formal was a lovely evening. The girls and their partners looked wonderful and it was very enjoyable. Many thanks to the prefects for their hard work in organising this event.

Good luck to students involved in the New Zealand Secondary Schools’ Cross Country and the South Island Secondary Schools’ Squash Tournament taking place this weekend.

Next Tuesday the PFA are holding their AGM at 7.00pm in the staffroom.  All parents are welcome to attend this meeting.

Next Friday we are lucky to have Lizzie Marvelly in school for the morning.
